Enjoy excellent food served prepared and served as if you were dining in Mexico, at Frida Mexican Tapas Bistro in Downtown Collingwood. "If you want fast food ... you're in the wrong place" says Itza Logiacco, who owns the restaurant with her husband David. "In our restaurant, the emphasis is on freshness and quality. The food is made when you ask for it. I want to make sure that when you eat it, you go mmmmmmmmm" says Itza.
The Logiacco's feel that Collingwood is ready for ethnic dining experiences, saying that the time was right to open their Mexican Tapas Bistro. The couple has been in Collingwood for fifteen years and they enjoy the small town feeling, adding that they feel the town is growing in a nice way. Itza says that tourists enjoy the variety the town is beginning to offer, adding that a great deal of their business comes from out-of-towners or visitors to Collingwood. "Our prices are reasonable. I don't believe you have to break the piggy bank to take the family out for dinner" Logiacco says, adding that they are looking forward to meeting more people from Collingwood.
Frida Mexican Tapas Bistro is a family affair. The Logiacco's sister-in-law Berbe is the chef, and she's enjoying every minute of this new Downtown Collingwood business venture.
